| | A Message from Fr. Bryan | If you look at the calendar above, you may notice that we have a very busy month ahead. There are two more Sundays in Lent before we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday on March 28th. I've ordered the Palm fronds and look forward to celebrating in person this year. During Holy Week, we will meet for both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, so be sure to mark your calendars and join us. Our celebration of Easter means so much more after experiencing the fullness of Holy Week.

Then, on Easter Sunday, we will baptize 12 of our children! I'm looking especially forward to that day, so be sure to bring your cameras and a joyful heart. If you want a refresher on the theology of baptism, especially as it pertains to infants and children, have a look at this source and this one and this one.

Finally, as I mentioned last week, we are putting together a care package for Fr. Lawrence. Maggie has created a google doc with a list of things that we would like to send to him in Afghanistan. The list includes all kinds of things that he could use, so please have a look and sign up for an item that you can bring to the church. We've extended the deadline by one Sunday, so feel free to drop items off this Sunday (March 14th) or next Sunday (March 21st) at the latest. Also, please note, that handwritten cards from you or from your children will be especially appreciated. Sign-up for items here.
|
That is all for today. Enjoy the sunshine and warmth! We will see some of you on our evening prayer zoom call tonight, and many more on Sunday.

| The Goodness of the Law by Chad Sanner | | A message from the series "Sermons from Lectionary Texts." Seminarian, Chad Sanner, preached this Sunday on the importance of the Old Testament and its laws, and how it can sometimes be tempting to ignore them in favor of the New Testament.
