| We entered the season of Epiphany this past Monday, so you will notice new liturgical colors when you arrive at church on Sunday. We will also begin a new sermon series on the "I Am" statements from the gospel of John, and that series will continue until the beginning of Lent.
Don't forget that catechesis for children and adults begins again on Sunday, January 19th. Maggie and Suzanne will be prepared with a curriculum and activities for the kids, and I will wrap-up our study from the fall with a final lecture on the End Times. In subsequent weeks, we will go through some key points in the Anglican Catechism and have a chance to discuss some Anglican distinctives.
Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 16th, since we are going to have a church potluck and business meeting after church on that day. Our agenda will include a summary of the church's finances, a discussion of the meaning of membership at St. John's, and preparation for a reorganization of the mission council, which will take place in the Summer.
Also, please mark your calendars for Sunday, April 19th since we will have confirmations with Archbishop Foley Beach.
I look forward to worshiping with you on Sunday!
