Dear friends in Christ,

We kicked off a new season of catechesis this past Sunday, and we will continue meeting at 9:00 am before church at least through the end of lent. The adults will meet downstairs and wrap-up a discussion of eschatology by reading through and discussing some quotations from C.S. Lewis' various works. The kids will be upstairs learning and working on various crafts.

Don't forget that we have our first game night this Friday at 6:30 pm at the Bittaker's home, which you can find at 12887 Troyer Ave NW Uniontown, OH 44685. If you plan to join us, please bring either a dessert or an appetizer.

Please also read through the blog post on membership at St. John's that I've included below. We will discuss this document at our upcoming business meeting in preparation for Confirmations with the Archbishop's visit on Sunday after Easter. I would love to answer any questions that you may have about either confirmation or the various ways people can be members of our church.

Finally, I received word this past week that our Bishop, the Rt. Revd. Ronald Jackson has resigned from his position. You can read a statement from the ACNA here. In truth, this will not have any influence on the life of our congregation. We will have the Archbishop with us for confirmations, and Bp. John Miller will continue providing pastoral oversight to our diocese in partnership with our standing committee. The election of a new bishop will be scheduled soon, and all will be well. Please keep Bp. Jackson and his wife Patty in your prayers.

The Peace of Christ,
Bryan+
