A Message from Fr. Bryan

Dear Friends in Christ,

As you all know, the Christmas season lasts for twelve days, so it is still entirely appropriate to say "Merry Christmas!" I do hope you all had a wonderful time with family and friends and that you enjoyed the beautiful snow. My family has been waiting for a "white Christmas" since we moved here almost 15 years ago, so the snow cover was most welcomed.

We will return to our regular Eucharistic service via Zoom this coming Sunday, and if you should still have consecrated bread if you stopped by before Christmas. However, if you do not have consecrated bread, please call or text me at 33-685-5510, and I'll be happy to meet you at the church sometime this week. We will have Wednesday Evening Prayer tonight, and Chad Sanner will be leading since my family will be away this evening.

Finally, please pray for the Bittaker family. Dan tested positive for Covid-19 last week, and it seems to have passed through the family. Although Dan and Shannon are feeling better, Shannon is still struggling with some chest congestion. David Beer's parents, sister, and other family members are also struggling with Covid-19, as are many others, so let's keep them all in prayer.

Almighty and immortal God, giver of life and health: We implore your mercy for those suffering with sickness, that by your blessing upon them and upon those who minister to them with your healing gifts, they may be restored to health of body and mind, according to your gracious will, and may give thanks to you in your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I hope you all have a happy and safe New Year's Eve.

Grace & Peace,
Bryan+

A message from the series "Sermons from Lectionary Texts." Fr. Bryan preached a short Christmas Day homily on what it means to welcome Christ humbly and willingly, following the example of Mary, Joseph, Simeon, the Wise Men, and even the inn-keepers, at St. John's Anglican Church in North Canton, Ohio.
