Whether you are new to Anglicanism or have been one for many years, there are several resources that you really should own, so I’m going to use the space below to offer brief descriptions and also provide links to the sites where these resources can be purchased.
The Book of Common Prayer
The Anglican Church of North America recently completed its own revision of the classic Book of Common Prayer (BCP). The BCP is, to a significant degree, the bible itself arranged for prayer and worship, and it has provided the source and standard of Anglican Worship from the early days of the English Reformation. You can purchase our new BCP by clicking on this link.
An Anglican Catechism
Since its inception as a province, the Anglican Church in North America has endeavored to renew the ancient approach to forming Christians through the process of catechesis. Along with a new Book of Common Prayer, the ACNA has produced a new catechism, and this book offers all Anglicans a wonderful resource for understanding our church’s faith and practice. You can purchase the new catechism at this link.
The Anglican Way
For a basic introduction to Anglicanism, you should consider purchasing this book by Thomas McKenzie. Amazon says this: “The Anglican Way is a guidebook for anyone interested in following Jesus as an Anglican Christian. Written for both the newcomer and the person who wants to go deeper, this book answers hundreds of questions about history, theology, worship, and more.” Purchase at this link.
