The various ministries of St. John’s are organized around three centers: the Parish, the Institute, and the Abbey. We will continue to develop each of these aspects of our ministry as we work to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Parish describes our traditional worshipping congregation and its ongoing fellowship. We worship together on Sundays and on occasional feast days and holy days, such as The Feast of St. Augustine, All Hallows Eve, Ash Wednesday and many others. We have regular social gatherings, house blessings, baptisms, and much more. St. John’s is a community where ordinary people are changed by the grace and goodness of Jesus Christ to become faithful members of His church and humble servants to a hurting world. We remain grounded in Jesus Christ by centering our life together in His Word & Sacraments.
St. John’s affirms the ancient principle of “lex orandi, lex credendi,” which holds that praying and believing complement one another. Through our partnership with the C.S. Lewis Institute and other initiatives, we pursue Christ’s Truth in the power of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God the Father.
